Welcome!
Redirect pages
Hey there, I've noticed you've added Template:Delete Request to a few redirect pages over the past few days and I wanted to give you some reasoning as to why your requests for deletion have been denied. Generally speaking, redirect pages exist so that users can more easily find the pages they're looking for. To that end, multiple pages may be created using various spellings (or misspellings) of the main article page so that the user will be redirected to the appropriate place rather than end up on the search page. So long as the redirect page is a reasonable alternative spelling/misspelling, or is semantically equivalent (e.g. universal code redirects to secret code), we don't generally need to prune our redirects. That isn't to say that there are no unnecessary redirects on the site, but they are for the most part, uncommon. If you'd like to start a discussion for establishing an explicit Nookipedia:Policy on redirects I would be open to your input. (talk) 17:18, May 7, 2016 (EDT)
Well that has officially comes to an end. There's nothing else to put that template. Princess Peach 21:02, May 7, 2016 (EDT)
When do I put the delete template?
When do I put the delete template. so I can't abuse it again. Princess Peach 17:56, May 9, 2016 (EDT)
- Typically, a staff member puts the template. Most of the time, we put it if that article could be easily linked to another page. An example of this is the Lamp Post article. It didn't need much information, so we put it here. However, when a page is created for vandalism, it's a good idea for any user to put the template. If you think an article should be deleted or linked to another page, it's better to discuss it on its talk page.(Next to the editing button, where it says "Discussion"). If you see a page that's for vandalism, it's a good idea to check who's online, and send them a message on their talk page so they can delete it as soon as possible. Hope that helps! Re:Page recreation
It's generally not a good idea to recreate a page that has been deleted 7 times already. ™ 19:11, May 17, 2016 (EDT)
