The Dainty Painting is one of the pieces of artwork available in the Animal Crossing series. It is based upon The Star (Dancer on Stage), a drawing by Edgar Degas. Drawn with pastels on paper in 1878, it is currently exhibited in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
