'''Copper''' is a [[dog]] who appears in all the {{SER}} games until {{NH}} along with his working partner, [[Booker]]. Copper's name comes from the slang term for police officer, "copper." He strongly resembles Japan's national breed, the Akita. In all games where he appears, Copper's dedication to professionalism and his work is in sharp contrast with Booker's doddering incompetence. Copper also prides early risers and warns the [[player]] to be careful when wandering around at night. Copper cannot tell the player about the lost and found, but he can tell them and type in friend codes with him. The player can visit other people's towns only by using [[WiiConnect24]] or Nintendo WFC.

Copper displays extreme dedication to his job, sacrificing his own desires in order to fulfill his duties.

In {{PG}}, Copper works at the [[Police Station|police station]] where he alerts the player of upcoming events, the location of visitors in the town, hosts morning workout regimes in the summer and gives the player's friends a map of the town. Copper also participates in the [[Morning Aerobics]], dressing in a gymnastics uniform and leading each stretch.

In {{WW|short|nolink}}, Copper now works as a guardian of the [[Town Gate]], opening or closing the gate for the player's friends to come through and play, as well as providing friend codes for players. He is on the right side of the town gate. On the left is [[Booker]]. Copper will also notably mocks Booker behind his back in this game.

Copper's role in {{CF}} is unchanged from {{WW|short|nolink}}, continuing to act as a guardian of the Town Gate as well as providing friend codes. He also helps with the DS Suitcase.
