The Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance, commonly abbreviated as NIWA, is a collaboration of a network of independent Nintendo-oriented wikis. The alliance was started in early 2010, and has since grown to contain 24 wikis as of June 22, 2017.

History[edit]

The Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance was started when Zelda Wiki, a wiki covering The Legend of Zelda series, sought affiliation with Bulbapedia, a wiki covering Pokémon, in January of 2010.
