Silver tool
Silver Items are items found in Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, such as the silver axe, net, slingshot, watering can, shovel, and fishing rod that have better attributes than the original tools, but are not as rare as the Golden tools.
Silver Rod
The Silver Fishing Rod can be purchased from Tom Nook in Animal Crossing: City Folk for 500 Bells; in New Leaf it's be sold in the Museum Shop instead, once the player has donated at least 30 fish. It is better than the Regular fishing rod in its fishing range. It will attract fish that are farther away from the rod. It's also different in colour.
Silver Net
The Silver Net can be purchased from Tom Nook in Animal Crossing:City Folk for 500 Bells; in New Leaf it's be sold in the Museum Shop instead, once the player has donated at least 30 bugs. It has a slightly wider rim, improving chances to catch bugs.
Silver Shovel
In Animal Crossing: City Folk, in order to obtain this item, the player must visit the Resetti Surveillance Center in the City on a random day after 8pm. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf it's sold in the Museum Shop for 500 Bells after 15 fossils have been donated. The Silver shovel is used to potentially double the Bells from the day's Bell Rock (in City Folk), or even find Ores instead of Bells (in New Leaf).
Silver Axe
The Silver Axe is randomly sold at the Island Shop in New Leaf. It's a rare item. In Animal Crossing: City Folk it can be donated to the player by Serena after you throw a Regular axe in the fountain. Unlike Regular axes, Silver ones don't deteriorate and cut trees down quicker; also, in New Leaf, it leaves a special design in the tree stumps.
Silver Watering Can
The Silver watering can will be donated to the player after they've bought 50 seeds at Nook's in Animal Crossing: City Folk. In New Leaf it's Leif who gives the Silver watering can after buying 50 seeds in his Garden Shop. It has a wider watering range, watering 5 flowers instead of just one.
Silver Slingshot
In Animal Crossing: City Folk the Silver Slingshot is (rarely) sold at Nook's for 500 Bells. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf it can be obtained by shooting down 14 balloons in one day; the next object will be the Silver Slingshot, held up by two silver balloons. The Silver Slingshot shoots two pellets instead of one.
