Gift (Campsite only)[edit]

500 Bells[edit]

  • Oh, <player>... I have a little something for you. Here, take this! It's not much... just my way of saying thanks for everything!
  • Oh, yeah, <player>! Thanks for letting me chill out at your campsite! Enjoy!
  • Hey, <player>! Your campsite is the best. Here, take this. It's not much, but it's the least I can do.
  • I'll let you in on a little secret... I've got a fortune-telling bug in my belly, and it told me to tell you... You're about to receive a nice gift! Here you go! The bug? Don't worry about it. I can stomach anything.
  • I've got too many coins jingling in my pockets! It sounds like a good thing, but it's actually annoying. Here, you can have some, so we'll sound like a bunch of tambourines when we walk together!

2,500 Bells[edit]

  • Heya! I've got a gift for you! Sorry, it's kind of out of the blue. But I just love your campsite, so I couldn't help myself!
  • Hey, <player>! Thank you so much for making this campsite. It's the best. I was saving up to buy a wheelbarrow full of snacks, but...I want you to have it after all. That's how much I love this campsite! <catchphrase>!
  • Hey, <player>... It must be a lot of work to run this campsite, huh? Just thinking of all that work is making me hungry. Got anything to eat? Haha, sorry. What were we talking about? Here, take this as an apology for my absentmindedness.
  • I never want to spend my change. I pull it out of my pocket, and I get so distracted by how shiny it is... But not this time! Here, it's a gift for you, <player>! Enjoy!
  • Man, you're really great! Did you know that, <player>? You always bring me the best stuff! I'm not good at getting stuff myself. I always get lost... or distracted. So here, take this! You deserve it!

Crafting Materials[edit]

  • Get ready, <player>... I've got something cool for you!
  • Oh, I almost forgot! I picked some of these up the other day. Wanna share? I think I've got too many!
  • So, apparently this is pretty rare. But you're always hooking me up, so I thought I could return the favor. Here you go!
  • Oh, <player>! Wait just a second. This is my way of saying thanks for everything. They say these things are pretty rare, but I dunno. I hope you like it anyway!
  • OK, I don't want this to be weird, but I have a special present for you. You know, for always taking care of me. I hope you like it! <catchphrase>!
  • Hey hey, <player>! I gotcha something! It's nothing big or crazy or anything. I promise. It might not be big, but I'm kind of tired of holding it. Do you mind taking it off my hands now?
  • You give out a lot of gifts. Isn't it about time someone gave you a gift? No need to answer that! Here!
  • Hey, <player>! I've decided I want to help out more around the campsite! I'm not really sure what I'd do to help, though. I'm pretty good at cooking up some BBQ! Actually, did I say cooking? I meant eating... Either way, take this!It might come in handy around here.
  • I got this for you! I really love giving presents. The only thing I like more than giving presents is fresh pie. Wait... Did you say something about pie? Oh, no. That was me! Whoops! Anyway, here ya go!

Outfit Change[edit]

Pick Outfit[edit]

For the first time:

  • You're going to pick an outfit for me? Great! I'd love something to lounge in, but I'm not picky.

For the next times:

  • So what are you gonna pick? I'm OK with anything. I'm just glad someone else is doing the picking.

Outfit Change[edit]

If outfit changed:

  • So... What do you think? I like it! Thanks, <player>!

If player closes the menu without changing outfit:

  • Huh? This is the same outfit... That's OK, though. I can't wait to see what you pick next time!

If player choose "Never mind..." opinion:

  • Not feeling it today? That's OK. I'll be here if you change your mind. No, really. I'm not moving.

  • Wow, this is great! So great, I kind of want to have my own fashion show just to show off my outfit.

If villager and player are matching the same clothes:

  • There's something about the way you're dressed... I can't quite put my finger on it, but I like it! Oh, duh! We match! Whoa, did you do that on purpose? Very cool.

Outfit Change Request[edit]

  • Uh, I'm not the best at dressing myself... I hope it's not obvious. It'd be cool if you picked me an outfit!
  • I'd call my style "sweatpants chic"! Let me know if you see anything that fits that description.
  • I've been stuck in a rut lately. I keep eating the same things for my six meals a day. It's getting boring. I wonder if some new clothes would help me spice things up...

  • Do you ever wish you had more space in your camper? I bet you could drive it over to OK Motors and ask the guys to expand it. It's at least worth considering. There's nothing worse than receiving a gift basket full of cheese and having nowhere to put it.
  • So, <player>, have you ever used Market Box? It's a great place to sell all that unnecessary junk that ends up in your pockets. But remember, once something's up for sale, it's gone for good. I learned that one the hard way. I listed all my oranges, and then I had no more oranges! I've never craved an orange so much in my life.
  • One of the most thrilling parts of traveling is that you never know what your next meal will be! I guess it's not so much thrilling as it is terrifying, <catchphrase>...
  • I try to make a stop at Market Place every day. 'Cause you never know which two shops are going to be there! Sometimes there are so many things I want to buy, I panic and buy the one thing I don't want. That's how I ended up with my antique tire collection.
  • The other day I passed by Isabelle down at her information desk, and she gave me a friendly hello. I went back a few hours later, and she was still standing there, still smiling... That night I went back again, and there she was! Does that lady ever take a break?!
  • Wow! I've made so many friends on this trip! I hope you know I'm including you in that category, <catchphrase>!
  • Hey, <player>! You know, meeting you was a real pleasure. It was even better than when a vending machine gives you two candies instead of one!
  • Hey, <player>! I heard through the grapevine that you manage a campsite. Is that right? That sounds like a lot of work! Best of luck with that, <catchphrase>!
  • Wow! Hanging out at your campsite was more wonderful than a freshly made ham sandwich! I hope you invite me back one day!
  • Someday, I hope I'll have my own camper. Then I'll be just like you! Unfortunately saving money's not really my strong suit... especially since I can buy food with it.
  • If you ever find yourself looking for something to do, you can always swing by here for a chat. Well... as long as you bring some snacks too, <player>!
  • Isn't it amazing how Cyrus can craft just about anything... if he has the right supplies, of course. Speaking of the right supplies... I think I have everything I need to make a mean plate of nachos! Excuse me, I have some, uh... pressing business to attend to, <catchphrase>!
  • I've noticed that camping requires a lot of accessories and gadgets... Unfortunately, I'm less of a shopper and more of a lounger. That's where you come in...
  • The best kinds of friends are the ones who'll stop and help when they find someone in trouble. I believe kindness is its own reward, but it'll also help you go up another level! Like, literally! How cool is that, <catchphrase>!
  • Hey, <player>!. Have you had a chance to check out any Timed Goals or Stretch Goals yet? I'm not usually one for doing stuff, but you can get rewards for completing easy tasks! Hmm, on the one hand, effort. On the other hand... free stuff. Ugh, I'm not gonna solve this one anytime soon.
  • You've got so much space at this campsite, <catchphrase>! Think of all the furniture you could pack it with... not to mention a whole section devoted to snacks...
  • Have you tried growing flowers in your garden yet? It's pretty fun, despite the fact that it's an activity that doesn't revolve around food. Anyway, if you ever wanna give it a try, go see Lloid. He'll hook you up with some flower seeds.
  • Have you tried that game machine over at OK Motors? All you need to play is some friend powder and an adventurous spirit! I don't have either, but I hear you can get that friend powder stuff by helping your pals!

Inside player's campsite[edit]

  • Know what, <player>? I think you may have struck gold with this campsite idea. You should invite even more peeps to come check it out! Just don't forget who your very first fan was.
  • This campsite is clearly the place to be! I don't know if you could fit even one more person in here! If you wanted to invite even more animals, you'd have to ask some to leave! Please! PLEASE! Don't kick me out!

On Saltwater Shores[edit]

  • My pocket encyclopedia says it's pretty easy to tell the difference between a dab and a flounder. All you have to know is that dabs face right and flounders face left! But what happens if they look in a mirror? Talk about identity crisis!
  • In my experience, the only thing you'll find in shells on the beach is a bunch of sand. But I always check. I mean, how else are you gonna make eye contact with a mollusk?
  • I gotta get me one of those throw nets. All you have to do is stand on the pier, throw it in the water, and the fish come pouring in! Now that's my kinda fishing, <catchphrase>. Minimal effort. Maximum results.
  • I wonder what the guy in the lighthouse is out there looking for every night... You don't think he lost a sandwich or something, do you? That would be tragic!
  • Today's the day! I'm going to gather up all these logs and build myself a raft. Then I'll take to the sea and go wherever the wind takes me. When I'm hungry, I'll fish. When I'm sleepy, I'll find a shore to rest upon... Man, this plan sounds like a lot of work. Never mind.
  • I wonder if there's a beach out there where the sand is made entirely of sugar... How sweet would that be?! Though I guess it would attract a lot of bugs.

On Breezy Hollow[edit]

  • So you're telling me this forest has apples, oranges, peaches, pears, AND cherries... So many choices, <catchphrase>! Which do I eat first?!
  • All you have to do to pick fruit around here is just tap the tree! Even I can muster up enough energy to do that... once.
  • When you're in the mood for fruit, there's nothing worse than seeing a bunch of empty branches. Luckily, one drop of fertilizer can change all that. Ain't science grand?
  • Not everything can be cooked over a campfire. Believe me. I had to learn that lesson the hard way. To this day, that's the only birthday I've ever celebrated without cake.
  • Mmm... The air is so fresh around here. It's the perfect place for a picnic! Let's do it! Let's have a picnic! How about you bring the food, and I'll eat it. Sound good?
  • I've recently discovered that I'm what you might call a "sleepeater." I fell asleep on a bench the other day,and when I woke up it had bite marks all over it, <catchphrase>.

On Sunburst Island[edit]

  • Have you seen a horned dynastid yet? They're so cool looking! And I bet slicing a watermelon is way easier when you can use your own horn to do it.
  • If you're a fan of coconuts, you're sure to love coconut milk. And, according to statistics, you're also more likely to attend a monster-truck rally. Where did I read that, again?
  • Bugs go nuts for honey! I hear all you have to do is leave some out and they'll just swarm around! I'd love to see it for myself, but I already ate all mine. What? I wanted to know what all the fuss was about!
  • I just can't get enough of this island lifestyle. All you do all day is relax, eat, and drink coconut milk... Sign ME up, <catchphrase>!
  • Those big stone gates on this island sure are strange, aren't they? I mean, how could anyone carry all those gigantic rocks? Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Aliens! If that's the case, I hope they're still around. I've always wanted to see the inside of a spaceship!
  • A lot of people come to this island for its natural beauty and spectacular views. But my favorite view around here is the inside of my eyelids. Speaking of which... Where'd I hang that hammock?

On Lost Lure Creek[edit]

  • I hear you can catch rainbow trout in this river. Rainbow trout! Don't they just sound magical? Do you think if you followed one long enough, it'd lead you to a pot of gold?
  • This area's got fish in the river and fruit on the trees. It's a four- course meal waiting to happen! If only I knew how to cook...
  • Those throw nets are the coolest things. With one toss you can catch a huge assortment of fish! That means...I'll never have to use my fishing pole again! News like that calls for a national holiday, doesn't it?!
  • Is it just me, or do the leaves on the trees around here look a little spiky, <catchphrase>? Well, I'm going to keep my distance. One strong gust of wind and those things could do some real damage.
  • Do you know who put that drink on the table? If there's no name on it... do you think I can have it?
  • Sleeping in a hammock is the epitome of comfort, isn't it? Just swinging back and forth... Gently swaying in the breeze... ...Zzz... Good morning! Time for breakfast?

  • You know the best thing about springtime, <player>? That's right... All the delicious food! Strawberries are finally in season again, so that means tons of strawberry-flavored treats. Strawberry jam, strawberry scones, strawberry pie... I love it all! You name it, I'll probably eat it! Ha!
  • You know, <player>, I've heard that sushi tastes freshest in the spring... Not like that's ever stopped me from eating it in the summer, fall, or winter. Ha! I'll eat sushi all year round! Speaking of which, now I'm hungry... Springtime sushi, anyone?

  • Aaah-CHOO! Brr! I'm f-f-freezing! B-b-but is there anything better than wrapping yourself up in a warm quilt on a day like this? Of course there is! Wrapping yourself up with a mug of hot cocoa in hand!
  • What do you think of winter, <player>? Do you love it or do you hate it? Well, I LOVE it! What's not to love? Snow! Tasty treats! Tasty treats made with snow! It's just the best...
  • Hey, <player>, what would you say is the ultimate winter luxury? Mine's eating an ice-cream cone in a hot tub on a nice, snowy day! That's right! It has all the makings of a perfect afternoon and a messy hot tub.

12 AM – <player>! You're still awake too? Planning to do some postmidnight mischief? Yeah, me neither.
1 AM – Hey, <player>! Oof! It's getting pretty late, isn't it?
2 AM – <player>... What time is it?
3 AM – Hey, <player>... Are you having trouble falling asleep, <catchphrase>?
4 AM – Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... Not the jelly filled... No... Oh! Whew. It was only a dream...
5 AM – Hey, <player>! What are you doing awake? Better question... What am I doing awake?
6 AM – G'morning, <player>. It's a beautiful day, <catchphrase>!
7 AM – Morning already? Here's to another glorious day, <player>!
8 AM – Good morning, <player>!
9 AM – Hey! How was your breakfast, <player>? You did have breakfast, didn't you?
10 AM – Hello, hello! Mmm... Doesn't the air smell delicious today?
11 AM – <player>, how goes it? Is it me, or is it starting to feel like lunchtime?
12 PM – I believe my favorite time of day is upon us, <player>... Lunchtime!
1 PM – Hey, <player>! Oh, so sleepy... Ate too much sandwich...
2 PM – Having a good afternoon, <player>?
3 PM – Did you have your 3 o'clock snack yet,<player>? Remember: it's the most important snack of the day.
4 PM – Hey, <player>! It's OK to eat a 3 o'clock snack even if it isn't 3 o'clock... right?
5 PM – Hey, <player>! Doesn't the sky look totally awesome right now?
6 PM – Hey, <player>! Is it just me, or does this feel like soup weather?
7 PM – Hey, <player>! We did it! We made it all the way to dinnertime, <catchphrase>!
8 PM – Hi, <player>. How was your dinner? Mine was uh-mazing.
9 PM – What a lovely evening, <player>!
10 PM – Can you tell me something, <player>? Does eating before bed really cause bad dreams?
11 PM – Oh, hey, <player>! We're approaching the witching hour. Or, as I like to call it... the feeding hour!

Outside Campsite[edit]

  • Wow, <player>! It's so good to see you again! Do I look like I've changed much since the last time we met? Really? That's strange. 'Cause I added another nap to my daily routine.
  • <player>! So we meet at last... Oh, don't worry. I remember you! Just trying to add a little intrigue to your trip, <catchphrase>.
  • There you are, <player>! I was hoping I'd run into you again. I've been meaning to ask you... Have you seen my candy jar? I think I left it at my last campsite, but I can't find it anywhere!

Return to Campsite[edit]

  • It's so good to see you, <player>! Thanks for inviting me to your campsite. I just can't get enough of this place!
  • Hey there, <player>! Ever since I started my trip, I was hoping you'd invite me to your famous campsite.
  • You know, I was just thinking about how I'd love to come to this campsite for a relaxing holiday... Are you a mind reader or what?

Calling Card[edit]

Meeting for the first time[edit]

  • Hey! Aren't you the one who sent me directions to this place? The name's <villager>. Seriously, I don't know if I could've found a place to camp without your help. I'm not exactly good with directions... Maybe later you can explain to me the difference between left and... what's that other one? I've been stuck on those for a while now, <catchphrase>!
  • Wait—are you...? I think you're the dude/gal who sent me the info for this campsite! Thank goodness you did! I've been on the hunt for days, looking for a place to start my vacation. Well, not days... More like hours.Fine, fine! I admit it! I hadn't started looking yet, OK?
  • <catchphrase>! It's my favorite travel agent! Nice to meet you in person. I'm <villager>! Thanks for suggesting I stop here and hang out. My favorite vacations are the ones I don't have to plan myself.

Already meet[edit]

  • Hey, <player>! Thanks for calling me up! I was just looking for a place to start my camping trip. Your invite arrived right on time! I think I'll make camp here for now. Mind keeping me company, <catchphrase>?
  • Hey! I've been meaning to thank you for the tip! I never would've found this place without your detailed directions, <player>! I'd probably still be wandering around, searching aimlessly for a place to set up camp.
  • You really saved me back there, <player>! If you hadn't told me about this place, who knows when I would've been able to stop for my next meal. And that kind of thing is the stuff of nightmares... I really owe you one, <catchphrase>!
