Villagers who remove their default headwear when given a new headwear to equip in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Audie's "hat" is unique in that it is also considered to be a modifiable accessory.
For Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Jacques, Puck, and Rod's "hats" are merely textures, so giving them a new headwear does not remove it. Although Annalise's "hat" is not a texture, it is similarly not removed when she is given a new headwear. O'Hare has a hat that is removable, though giving him a halo will not remove it. (Note: In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the halo does remove the hat.)
