Badges are a form of achievements in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. They are given out by Phineas, who takes on the role of a scout master, to the player when the player does such tasks as catching fish or hunting for bugs. When a player earns a Badge, it is automatically saved onto the Town Pass Card. There are 24 types of Badges, with each having bronze, silver, and gold variants, making a total of 72 badges.
