Phineas as Scout Master

Badges are achievements that can be earned in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. They are given out by Phineas, who takes on the role of a scout master, to the player when the player does such tasks as catching fish or hunting for bugs. When a player earns a badge, it is automatically saved onto the Town Pass Card. There are 72 badges (bronze, silver, gold) in 24 different categories.

• Balloon Badge - Awarded to players who have shot down a high number of present balloons flying over town.

• Avid Bell Saver - Awarded to players who have saved many bells in their bank account.

Save 1,000,000 Bells

• Turnip/Tradesman Badge - Awarded to players have have made heavy profit from buying and selling turnips from Joan when she comes to town.

Make a profit of 500,000 Bells

• Shopper Badge - Awarded to players who spend a lot of bells on items.

Bug badges

• Bug Catcher Badge - Awarded to players who have caught many bugs, regardless of type.

Catch 500 bugs

• Insect Maniac - Awarded to players who have caught a large variety of bugs, based on how much of their encyclopedia has been completed from donating to the museum.

Complete 50% of the bug encyclopedia (36 species)

• Collector Badge - Awarded to players who have completed a high percentage of their catalog.

• Diver Badge - Awarded to players who have caught a large quantity of deep sea creatures, regardless of type.

Catch 500 deep sea creatures

• Seafood Maniac - Awarded to players who have caught a large variety of deep sea creatures, based on how much of their encyclopedia has been completed from donating to the museum.

Fishing badges

• Angler Badge - Awarded to players who have caught many fish, regardless of type.
