Compatibility

From Nookipedia, the Animal Crossing wiki

Compatibility is fan-term for how well two villagers will act towards each other in New Leaf and New Horizons. The way villagers act towards each other is based on a mixture of their personality, species, and star sign.[1] [2] Villagers can have a good, neutral, or bad relationship.

    • If the species compatibility is 3 points, the total must be 10 or more.
    • If the species compatibility is 0 or 2 points, the total must be 11 or more.
  • Bad Compatibility:
    • If the total score is 3 or less, they have bad compatibility.

Any other score results in average compatibility.

Trivia[edit]

  • The incompatibility of dogs and primates is a reference to the Japanese depiction of dogs and monkeys being rivals, as dogs would protect farmers and their wares from the animals. It is similar to the Western depicted rivalry of dogs and cats.
