"This is the most famous piece in a series called the Thirty-Six Views, yet the actual total in the set is 46."
— Museum Exhibit, Animal Crossing: New Leaf

The Dynamic Painting is a painting first made available in Animal Crossing: City Folk. It is only sold in Crazy Redd's. The Dynamic Painting is a copy of The Great Wave off Kanagawa, a woodblock print that is the most famous work of Hokusai. This print was part of a series called "36 Views of Mount Fuji" - on close inspection of the painting, Mount Fuji is clearly visible of the horizon.

Other than the mountain, the print depicts three boats struggling against huge waves near Kanagawa - this view today would most probably have the skyscrapers of Tokyo in the background, too.

The Dynamic Painting has a black/brown color.

Authenticity

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, if Mount Fuji appears clear and nearby, rather than faded and distant, then the painting is a forgery.
