Donating to the museum
In New Horizons
"Brachiosaurus, whose name means 'arm lizard' -eh, wot- was one of the largest herbivorous dinosaurs. Due to its long front legs and elongated neck, it seems to have specialized in eating plants up high. Alas, in order to support its large size, it likely needed to eat more or less every waking hour. What a ferocious forager it must have been indeed!"
In Real Life
Brachiosaurus is a large sauropod dinosaur that lived in North America during the Late Jurassic, around 153 million years ago. The name comes from the dinosaur's front limbs, which are much longer than its rear limbs. Very little of the animal's neck has been found — and none of its tail — but estimates based on related species place it at 18-21 meters long and weighing 28-58 tons.
