Template:Infobox Painting The Scenic Painting was first introduced in Animal Crossing: City Folk and is based upon Pieter Brueghel the Elder's The Hunters in the Snow, one of the five surviving paintings in a series of six that depict different times of year. It is currently housed in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.

Authenticity

In New Leaf, there are no forgeries of this painting.

In New Horizons, if there is only one person and two animals, the painting is a forgery.

Museum exhibit description

"A landscape artist from the late Renaissance period, Brueghel was known as the "Peasant Artist." He earned the title for depicting scenes from common peasant life, such as the moment captured here. Note the contrast between the weary hunters and the people frolicking below on icy ponds."
