Introduction
Hello everyone, sunmarsh here!
Long-time Animal Crossing addict and researcher, I've written guides on specialized topics for every (English-localized) AC title including a comprehensive guide to Wild World which you can find more info on here. I also run a tumblr blog at animalcrossingus. Be sure to look out for me on ACC, WiKirby, Inkipedia, and Pikipedia.
Having suffered from Animal Crossing addiction for most of my life, if you have a question about the series or a specific game mechanic I will most likely be able to answer it. Feel free to post a question to my talk page and I'll be happy to share the fruits of my affliction with you.

To-do list
If you're ever looking for something to do, take your pick.
Wiki-related tasks
- Develop a Nookipedia Manual of Style and include info as discussed at the Community Fountain in the first half of 2019.
- Start a conversation about page categorization and whether this should be done by templates or manually on each page.
Template-related tasks
Remove e-card functionality from Template:Villager Header and move it to a separate template. + revamped to include species & personality icons
Template should prioritize amiibo card info and run along the bottom of the page. + new template matches Template:E-card
Coordinate colors with Template:E-card.
Consider making star sign a separate field as it was confirmed that some villagers have a star sign but no confirmed birth date.
Make sure all series/themes/sets are included in navbox templates.
- Consider revising template/finding a way to display information in a list format with the possibility of clicking to view more details.
File-related tasks
- Create a gallery of amiibo cards
- Consider whether or not to include images of Japanese and European versions of the cards as well.
Update poor quality versions of e-cards with better versions from this site.
- Upload item images from older game titles (e.g. ACGC). (Base image scans for DnM+/e+ uploaded to Google Drive as of 06/06/19.)
- Learn how to manipulate models from ACCF in Blender to create animated gifs of villager and critter models for use here.
- Upload ACGC commercials and music files to wiki.
Article-related tasks
- Consider making pages for each e-card- do we have enough info (discussion here)?
- Create a page for amiibo cards with links on the Merchandise page and a section linking to it (with Template:Main) on the amiibo article.
- Consider making separate pages for each series of amiibo cards- series 2 already confirmed for Japanese release.
Finish filling out list of amiibo cards.
- Finish creating list pages for furniture/clothing by color, genre, and style. Break up by game.
Finish adding wall/carpet to theme pages.
Make sure theme and set pages have the correct capitalization.
If not move the pages to the correct location.
- Create a page listing regional differences (particularly translation differences).
- Include Japanese literal translations on series, theme and set pages. (e.g. Spooky Series is known as the Halloween Series in Japanese)
Create a list of villager birthdays (note star signs).
- Create a list of star signs with birthdays if applicable (as not all villagers with star signs have birthdays).
Create lists of usable items (e.g. beds, TVs, furniture that can be placed on walls, tables etc.) grouped by game.
Apply Template:TableHeader to all furniture Set pages.
Figure out how to group any items that are not part of a Series, Theme, Set or Category and create pages for similar items.
Complete revamp of Fish and then apply similar changes to Bug.
- Revamp articles on Feng Shui and HRA scoring.
- Consider moving Fishing to Guide namespace upon revision of Fish.
Animal Crossing stereos
Made this on a whim, may make more. The initial goal was to create one for every stereo in the game. We would then 'fill' each one with all the K.K. songs as played by that stereo system. Each system sounds a little different so I figured this would be a cool way to showcase that.
Memorable moments
Funniest thing I've ever read on the wiki:
- His initial phrase, "toots" may refer to when a gorilla releases a series of flatulence bursts (a trait shared by humans, but for trivial censorship reasons, the player can't release flatulence in the games)

2016 Diary
1/12/16
I took a break from Nookipedia in August of 2015 to focus on applying to graduate programs in Architecture to start in summer of this year. Instead of doing that I ended up spending more time with friends and starting a romantic relationship... and playing Splatoon (lots of Splatoon). I did manage to complete those applications though-- it just took me a few months longer than expected. I'm putting the finishing touches on app two, which is due by this Friday. I have both HHD & AC:aF and have played them off and on since release. I haven't forgotten about Nookipedia or my fellow editors here, even though I am a bit saddened by the quiet state of affairs. I wish you all well and I hope to edit with you again soon.
3/17/16
I was accepted to both of the programs to which I applied and have decided to attend the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Classes are set to begin July 8th. I'm super excited to attend although I will miss my family and friends in North Carolina. D: My current focus on the wiki is to complete the revamp of our item pages and to that end I have uploaded hundreds of HHD furniture icons and have converted dozens of outdated tables to utilize our updated item templates.
