Turnips are an item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. These items are edible and by eating them, the player will earn energy to be able to relocate trees or break rocks. The player's energy will be maxed out as a result, and the player cannot eat further turnips until an energy is used on a rock or a tree.

Turnips can be obtained from Daisy Mae on Sundays from 5 AM to 12 PM for between  90 Bells and  110 Bells per turnip. Up to 10 bundles of 100 can be stacked together, for a total of 1,000 turnips. In the Happy Home Paradise DLC, the player can also obtain turnips by speaking to Joan in the hospital facility every Monday. On Mondays through Saturdays, they can be sold at Nook's Cranny for between  9 Bells and  660 Bells per turnip; there are two sell prices each day, and it changes at 12 PM. If they are not sold, they turn into spoiled turnips at 5 AM on the next Sunday.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Boots, Chabwick, Dora, Groucho, Limberg, Lyman, Mitzi, and Sylvana.
