Gwen (ポーラ, Polar) is a snooty, penguin villager in the Animal Crossing series . Gwen's name is a parody of her species name: Penguin, pronounced the same as Gwen. Her picture quote is a reference to where penguins live: in cool or cold places.

Appearance

Gwen is an off-white porcelain, chalky gray, and blackish-purple penguin. She has a dark, blackberry curl on the top of her head and dark, obsidian gleaming eyes with light violet eyeliner and mascara, complementing her gaze and style. Gwen has a large yellow-orange beak and feet. She apparels a Yellow Bolero, a woman's short open jacket, that actually appears to be light neon yellow-green.

Her talent is "skimming books" for April Fool's Day

Personality

Gwen is a snooty villager. Unlike Aurora, she does not get as upset on the account that she is a bird that is unable to fly, although she may say how it is pathetic that a bird like her cannot fly. Cube and Roald do not really seem to care that they are penguins at all. But for a penguin, Gwen thinks she is super cool (hence, her pic quote). She can be extremely friendly once she has befriended the player, but will be rude at first. This eventually changes - she will become more hospitable, though, of course, she will still come out with some snooty remarks and cheeky comments, for that is her personality and she just cannot help it. Gwen loves writing to the player and having a chat round the town, if he or she does become close to her she will happily give the player her photo.

House

Her house has a musical theme, featuring much of the Musical Instruments set. She also has a phonograph playing "Café K.K.," a Classic Buffet, a Classic Clock, possibly some of the House Plant Set, and other classic items. Gwen also favors white furniture and blue furniture. She has a Round Carpet and a Cityscape Wall. She likes to change her theme sometimes, which may mean she will ask the player to find her some furniture.
