PaulHabaradas (full name: Paul Emmanuel Habaradas, in-game name: Paul) is a Super Mario, Pokémon, and Animal Crossing fan.

His Island History

Paul played Animal Crossing for the first time around last few days of 2020 and early 2021 with Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii. Her sister started the town, naming the town SVTLand, after she was a fan of Seventeen, a South Korean band. It wasn't until October 29, 2022 where he started playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and became the Resident Representative of Langoyon, named after a beach resort in Davao Oriental, Philippines.[1] However, on December 23-26, 2022, he played his island on an actual beach resort that has the same name of it.

Almost every noon everyday, he make his villager dance on the theme of Eat Bulaga! with his Reactions (he plays the theme via his computer or phone) until May 2023, and again since January 2024, also from July to December 2023 through E.A.T.. He also did this on City Folk before.

On December 2, 2022, Paul's island reached a 3-star rating and when 2022 comes to a close, he gets pretty excited on celebrating Toy Day and Countdown for the first time. He even makes the game a countdown partner on his Times Square-inspired New Year celebration named "Parol Drop <upcoming year> (i.e.: Parol Drop '24)" where he sync up on the game's countdown and lower the parol (star lantern) at the last minute of the year. His favorite events are Birthday, Toy Day, and Countdown.

Since the start of the island, Paul made a weekly rewind named "Week <number> in Rewind (i.e. Week 37 in Rewind)", where he wrote what happened on the island for the last week. He also imagined his villager watching two TV shows at his house and near the plaza titled Maria Clara at Ibarra (October 2022—February 2023) and Voltes V: Legacy (May—September 2023)

It wasn't until April 3, 2023 where his island reached 5-star rating after 155 days, and he discovered that his play hours of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has surpassed his leading play hours of Super Mario Odyssey around July 2-8, 2023.

On July 23, 2023, Animal Crossing: New Horizons became his first game to reach 700 play hours on his Nintendo Switch. Two days later, he paid all his home loans. Starting September, he decorated the island with Festive Series items, in time for the start of Christmas in the Philippines that begins in September until January.

Since he got Mario Kart 8 Deluxe last September 25, he started to feel the downhill of playing the game as his island is getting close to turning a year old. Around the whole month of October, he redecorated the island to Halloween-themed in time for the Halloween. He also wears Jack's face all month long, except when it's raining. He gets to wear it until November 2, and wears the Santa hat the next day onwards. On October 14, he finally experienced all events in the game during Fall Fishing Tourney.

One day before his island turned a year, he managed to complete all K.K. Slider song collections. The next day, the island turned a year old, coinciding with the real life Langoyon having a two-day event of beach volleyball tournament. He gets to celebrate events once again, but better.

On his Birthday, there was a double celebration, as him and Hans share the same birthday.

On January 31, 2024, 459 days since he started playing, Animal Crossing: New Horizons became his first game to ever reach 1,000 play hours on his Nintendo Switch.

Personal life

Paul was born in Davao, Philippines, on December 5, 2007. Before he heard about Nintendo and Super Mario, he got his chance to play Wii games on his therapy. In 2017, his former classmate (now best friend) introduced him about Super Mario and Nintendo. He started becoming a Nintendo fan after his interest on Super Mario after seeing his classmate playing toys and bringing Nintendo 3DS. Soon enough, he also became a Pokémon fan after seeing many classmates played Pokémon in summer of 2019. During quarantine, he started his interest of Animal Crossing after seeing many videos and pictures of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

He also runs a YouTube channel named "Paul POW!", formerly Paul Power. He said that he got inspired by a POW block, and that's where he got his name. His channel contains Mario Kart Tour, chess games, reviewing foods and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.[2]

Outside video games, he is seen playing basketball as a hobby and chess competitively. Since July of 2018, he competes on various local and national tournaments. He also has lots of interest in sports such as volleyball, soccer, table tennis, bowling, billiards, and darts.
