"Eloise's pancakes supposedly come out perfect every time. Let's test that theory..."
— Scrapbook Memory description

Pancake Pleasantries is a Scrapbook Memory in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. To unlock this memory, the player must obtain a Pancake-Parlor Kitchen.

Synopsis[edit]

The memory begins as it pans over part of the campground decorated as a small parlor. Eloise stands in the Pancake Parlor Kitchen as a villager approaches. Apple is taking an order at one table. Three other villagers sit around the parlor, varying with each viewing. Eloise welcomes the ordering villager, and recommends the sweet honeycakes if it's their first time visiting. Apple drops off an order of berry blasters to one of the tables. The memory cuts to Apple and Eloise standing in the center of the parlor, and Apple comment's that she's beat, and that it had been a busy day. Eloise suggests they close up for the day, as she's out of pancake batter. Apple agrees, and goes to lock up. As she begins to walk, her stomach growls loudly and startles both of them. She blushes and realizes she must've worked up an appetite, saying it had been too ambitious of her to sing the menu to every customer. Eloise compliments Apple's singing and says she's earned a culinary reward, offering to fix her up a treat with the leftover cakes before walking off.

She places a couple plates of pancakes on one of the tables and Apple is shocked, asking how she made them when she said she was out of batter. Eloise explains that some of the cakes she made that day were 'an experiment in caramelization' and that although her customers don't appreciate them, it would be a shame to waste them. She says the flambéjacks could be the next big thing, and she wanted Apple to be the first to try them. Apple asks if this means they're burnt, but still agrees to have them since they were made by Eloise. She observes that only the bottoms are charred, and assures Eloise that they'll be amazing if she puts whipped cream on top. Eloise tells her to go wild, and the two of them sit down to enjoy them together.
