"Poncho enters a cave in search of a legendary sword. How will he face the dangers inside?"
— Scrapbook Memory description

The Legend of Poncho is a Scrapbook Memory in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. To unlock this memory, the player must obtain a Dungeon-Boss Dragon.

Synopsis[edit]

The memory opens with Poncho in a cave, walking forwards and putting his hands on his hips as he announces he, the muscular hero Poncho, is going to obtain the legendary sword hidden somewhere inside. Soon Poncho is standing in a Hero's Magic Circle on the ground and facing Legendary-Dungeon Bats, exclaiming that a few monsters aren't going to stop him. He continues walking, before he's shocked to see Simon standing in the cave as well. Simon explains he came to the cave for a fun adventure, but he can't explore it all by himself. Poncho invites Simon to join him. Now the both of them stand in Hero's Magic Circles, and face four Legendary-Dungeon Bats. Poncho exclaims that they can do it if they work together. As Poncho and Simon continue through the cave, they find Curt lost in thought. Poncho asks if everything is OK, and Curt admits that the enemies just keep getting stronger, and he's not sure he can keep fighting them all alone. Poncho immediately invites him to join the party, confident that no enemy could stop all three of them.

Poncho, Simon, and Curt stand together in a huddle in the cave. Curt comments that it's the end of the line. The only thing between the party and the legendary sword is the dragon guarding it. Simon is shocked to hear that there's a dragon, and grows anxious as he says he's heard dragons are really strong, and he isn't sure he can beat one. Poncho tells him not to panic, and assures him that if the three of them work together, they'll be able to defeat the dragon. He turns from the group and walks forward, yelling at the dragon to show itself and face his super-strong party. The Dungeon-Boss Dragon appears, and praises the party's efforts. Poncho, Simon, and Curt all stand in their own Hero's Magic Circles as the dragon tells them that if they want the legendary sword, they will have to defeat it. Poncho remarks that they've already figured that out, and they can defeat the dragon without breaking a sweat, before yelling that the sword will be theirs.

After the screen fades to white, the party all stands together as Curt laughs and says he isn't sure how, but they did it. Simon is overjoyed and compliments Poncho on what an amazing hero he is. Poncho beams and says they were only able to win because they worked as a team. Simon and Curt both get bashful before Poncho turns around and exclaims the sword must be just ahead. Poncho then poses in front of the Legendary Stone Pedestal as Curt and Simon applaud and cheer for him.
