Apple trees are an item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Apple trees will drop any apples when shaken and subsequent shaking will drop tree branches or Bells. After five days, apple trees will reproduce apples.

If hit with an axe, apple trees produces either hardwood, wood, or softwood. As a tree item, it can relocated after eating an edible item and using a shovel.

Apple trees are obtained by planting an apple on a dirt or grass tile. Apple trees are also spawned naturally on the player's island if apples are the native fruit, and can also be found on Mystery Islands or on Kapp'n's boat tours depending on if apples are the player's native or sister fruit.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing after listening to Leif's lecture at the school regarding hybrid flowers. Apple, Blaire, Cheri, Mott, and Tangy feature this item in their order list when designing their vacation home.
