The ? Block was made available during Super Mario Crossover and Fishing Tourney 12, obtainable from crafting, which costs 100 Bells, takes around 1 hour to make, and requires 80× 1-Up Mushroom, or from Chip.
During Fishing Tourney 12, the ? Block can be acquired after obtaining a total size goal of 10600cm, 11400cm, 12200cm, 13000cm, 13800cm, or 14600cm, 15200cm, and every 600cm interval after 15200cm
