The Mario Theme is a furniture theme that first appears in Animal Crossing. It is a collection of Super Mario-inspired furniture. The items from the series are obtained through non-standard means which change between games, and none of the items can be reordered from the catalog.
Prior to Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the items are styled after their appearance in Super Mario Bros., and in New Leaf, they are styled after their more modern appearances. All pieces of the Mario Theme sell for 256 Bells, referencing the 256 values in 8-bit binary, zero through 255. The Mario Theme has 12 or 14 furniture pieces depending on the game, with four more items added to the original set in Animal Crossing: Wild World.
