After not touching my 3Ds for 7 years, I got it to work again by replacing its battery with that of my sister’s. It’s funny how I made my New Leaf town LINE-themed when I would end up dropping the franchise for Hetalia months later.
Ironically I only started to learn Japanese after I stopped playing New Leaf… on a Japanese console. I could not understand a single word 7 years ago, and considering I accidentally got myself into a weeding challenge from Leif shortly after I brought back my 3Ds… I’ve still got a long road ahead. At least I can read kana though.
If not for a note I left on my iPad and my efforts to revive my 3Ds, Carmen and Ankha would’ve been the only ones I can recall. Now that I know who the rest of my villagers are/were… I can’t say I can blame past me.
