"Celebrated in parts of Asia, the 15th night on the 8th month—according to the lunisolar calendar—has a harvest moon. This is when the full moon is perfectly situated for observation. How about some moon cakes?"
— Event description

The Moon Cakes is a miscellaneous furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 1.11.0 Free Update. As a miscellaneous item, it can be placed on either the ground or on the surfaces of tables and other similar furniture items that have surfaces for items. Since version 2.0, the Moon Cakes is edible and by eating it, the player will gather five energy points to be able to relocate trees or break rocks.

The Moon Cakes can be obtained from Nook Shopping for  1,100 Bells from September 12 to September 21 as a celebration of Moon-Viewing Day. This item can only be ordered from the catalog while its seasonal event is ongoing.

No villagers have this item in their home. In Happy Home Paradise, no villagers unlock this item for usage in designing a vacation home, and it can only be used once the player's catalog is unlocked after completing the 27th vacation home.
