Template:Infobox villager Anchovy (アンチョビ) is a lazy, bird villager that appears in the Animal Crossing series. His initial phrase is the noise birds make, which is "chirping." In Animal Crossing his initial phrase, "chuuurp," has one more "u" than in the sequels.

Appearance

Anchovy is a brown bird with a sharp, yellow bill and thick, black eyebrows. He initially wears the Straw Shirt in Animal Crossing, but in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, he wears the Earthly Knit.

As a lazy villager, Anchovy will enjoy napping and talking about food, as well as appearing calm and relaxed through most circumstances. Like other lazy villagers, he will share the same interests such as clothes, fishing, bug catching, and fossil hunting. When he talks about clothes, he may mention his alter-ego, "Fashion Lad," a hero made up by lazy villagers who tackles fashion disasters. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, he may mention the idea of getting married, simply for the wedding buffet afterward. Snooty and jock villagers will find it difficult to get along with him, due to his relaxed lifestyle which may cause offense to these villagers.

House

Anchovy has the Blue Table, the Parquet Flooring, and the Modern Wall, and he possesses a Retro Stereo in his house that plays K.K. Ragtime. In Wild World, he has five Pinball Machines. In the GameCube version, he has five Slot Machines.
