Gonzo (ゴンゾー), the cranky koala, is a villager from the Animal Crossing series. His initial phrase, "mate", is a common way for an Australian to refer to a friend.

Gonzo is a gray koala. He has slanted eyebrows that make him appear angry. He has large gray ears with pink inside of them and a tuft of gray hair on the top of his head. His eyebrows are white, and he initially wears the Earthy Knit.

Gonzo is a cranky villager, obviously implying that he is often grumpy. He will get along with snooty villagers who have similar cold and rude personalities. He might make some rude remarks about peppy villagers, and will admire lazy villagers laid-back lifestyle.
