The kadomatsu (かどまつ, kadomatsu^?) is a furniture item in Doubutsu no Mori, Doubutsu no Mori+, and Doubutsu no Mori e+. It is replaced by the substitution card in Dòngwù Sēnlín.

The kadomatsu can be obtained from Tom Nook's store for  2,580 Bells from December 26 to December 30; it will appear every day in the store between those dates. For the purpose of fêng shui, its color is special.

In Doubutsu no Mori, this item appears in the homes of Cyrano.

In Doubutsu no Mori+, this item appears in the homes of Cyrano.

For villagers who have this item placed on the floor in their house, there is a chance that the villager will gift it to the player.

Leftover dummy item

The dummy model used by unused items in Animal Crossing.

In Animal Crossing, the kadomatsu is still leftover in the game data as a dummy item, unobtainable without gameplay modification or glitches. It has the unused name "kadomatsu" and uses the dummy model, a white triangle with red Japanese text reading ダミー (damī, dummy). Its name was also translated to other languages in the European version of Animal Crossing, with the name "kadomatsu" in Spanish, "kadomatsu" in French, "Kadomatsu" in German, and "kadomatsu" in Italian.
