Nomination process

As long as editors are autoconfirmed, they can nominate articles to be featured by submitting a nomination in the section below. Registered users may use the templates above to vote or make comments. Once they have voted, they must sign their comments with ~~~~.

Nominations will be held open for at least a week for users to vote—at the end of the voting period, a Administrator, Bureaucrat, or Director will determine the result and close the vote, and will feature the article if the nomination passes. Votes that are not justified by a reason will not be counted.

Once the article is featured, a {{Featured}} badge is placed on the top of the article.

An article can also nominated to be removed from their featured status if it no longer meets the featured article standards. Staff members also reserve the right to remove any nominations that are made in bad faith or poorly justified.

Past nominations can be found here.
