Bot

Bots are accounts controlled by wiki users that perform automated tasks on Nookipedia. One bot account (Bot) is currently in use on the wiki.

Bot list

Bot (Talk • Contribs) Edits periodically Operator Jake Bot was originally used to transfer images to Nookipedia from Wikia, and later to welcome new users. It is now used by Jake intermittently for general wiki maintenance. Puppet (Talk • Contribs) Inactive Operator Jake Puppet was used for testing wiki features and performing text replacements.

Abilities

With the exception of sending emails to wiki users, Bots have the abilities of an autoconfirmed user, in addition to the following:

• Suppress redirects when moving pages
• Make minor edits to talk page that are not marked as new messages
• Upload files from a URL
• Use higher limits in API queries

Bots' edits do not appear on the Recent Changes list by default, and their edits are automatically marked as patrolled.
