Peewee (ダンベル, Dumbbell) is a cranky, gorilla villager in the Animal Crossing series. His name is a joke on his size and personality - "peewee" usually indicating size with relation to youth when Peewee is in fact large and adult. His initial phrase, "Li'l dude," also relates to this. His name may also be related to 'Peewee Herman'. He has appeared in every game so far.

Appearance

Peewee is a black and grayish-blue gorilla with huge nostrils who initially wears a Five-Ball shirt. Peewee sometimes looks angry because of the way is mouth is in a straight line, although this may also look like he is constantly smiling. His angry eyebrows may enhance his cranky personality. His feet, his hands, his bottom, his ears, and his face are paler than his head, arms, and legs.

Peewee is a cranky villager, which means he is stubborn and easily annoyed when things are not going his way. He will appear rude and belittling towards the player, but will eventually warm up to them, considering them his only friend. He will find the usual hobbies of fishing, bug catching, fossil hunting, fashion, and furniture collecting considerably more interesting compared to other village types, adding more reason behind the hobbies than other villagers, and will often ask players to catch something for him. He will get along with other cranky villagers and snooty villagers, who share the same interests and meaningful discussions. He will often suggest spreading rumors on peppy and normal villagers when no interesting events are happening in the town.

House

Peewee has several gyroids in his house and a samurai sword set. If he has a stereo, it will play K.K. Casbah or K.K. Rally in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. He has a rotating fan on his wall, two bongo drums in the center of the room, and a light brown colored tea-kettle. The room is made to resemble a typical African hut.
