The birthday candles is a customizable miscellaneous furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It is part of the Birthday Set. The player can interact with this item to turn its lighting effect on or off. As a miscellaneous item, it can be placed on either the ground or on the surfaces of tables and other similar furniture items that have surfaces for items.

The birthday candles can be obtained from other villagers on the player's Birthday. The item's style can be customized either by using 1 customization kit or by Cyrus at Harv's Island for  1,000 Bells.
