"Also known as "Girl with a Turban," this piece uses ultramarine paint, which was expensive at the time. It seems the expense was worth it, as the vivid blue colors draw the eye and help make the piece a classic. The only question is... Is that a real pearl earring? Or something else..."
— Art description

The wistful painting is a wall-mounted furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 1.2.0 April Free Update. In addition to walls, it can be placed on the floor, being displayed on an easel. As a painting, it can be donated to the museum. It also has a forgery version that cannot be donated or sold. The artwork depicts Girl with a Pearl Earring, drawn circa 1665 by Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer.

The wistful painting can be obtained from Jolly Redd's Treasure Trawler or Redd's Co-Op on Harv's Island for  4,980 Bells or from any villager in the mailbox.

No villagers have this item in their home.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Monique and Skye.
