Real-world information

Promotional flyer for the Disk Writer

Disk Writers were retail-store kiosks in Japan that allowed customers to purchase Famicom Disk System games and write them to their own Disk Card for ¥500, cheaper than the price of a standard retail Disk System game. Games were sold through Disk Writers about one to two months after their standard retail releases, and some games, such as Clu Clu Land: Welcome to New CluClu Land, were exclusively released via the Disk Writer.

Notes

  1. If this item is facing a wall in the player's house, the HHA will deduct 100 points from the total score. If the player is doing a theme challenge, that penalty will increase to 10,000 points.
  2. Re-Tail sell price; can be sold for 80% of this price ( 400 Bells) at Timmy and Tommy's store
  3. Filly and Holden cannot legitimately move to the player's town via normal gameplay, but a default house layout can be observed via hacking. They share the same housing layout.
