Rio (デジャネイロ, De Janeiro) is a peppy, ostrich villager in the Animal Crossing series. She is named after the Brazilian city of Rio De Janeiro, known for its flamboyant carnivals, which she seems to reflect with her bright colored appearance.

Appearance

Rio is a hot red ostrich with orange stars on her cheeks, a little bit of brown hair on her head and a multicolored tail. She also has purple eye shadow on which makes her look like a snooty villager. Her initial item of clothing is the red scale shirt, the opposite of Sandy's shirt.

Rio is a peppy villager which means she will appear excited and cheerful when talking to the player and other villagers. Much like other peppy villagers, she will aspire to become a model for the Ms. Nintendique magazine or a cheerleader, but will soon give up the aspiration due to a lack of attention span. She will get along with other peppy villagers and normal villagers, but may be the plot for some false information or gossip by snooty and cranky villagers.

House

Her house has a unique look to it. She has many items from the cabana series, such as the cabana lamp as well as some gyroids. She has the retro stereo and the congo drums. She has K.K. Samba playing in her house.
