Francine (フランソワ, François) is a snooty, rabbit villager in the Animal Crossing series. She originally appears Template:AFe+ and later reappears in Animal Crossing: City Folk. As a snooty villager, she will appear rude and arrogant towards the player, but will accept the player as a friend despite continuing her typical, sly comments. Her initial phrase "karat" is a homophone on the vegetable, carrot - a typical food item for rabbits and karat, carat in the UK, - a way to measure gold purity. As a snooty villager, gold would possibly refer to her stylish, materialistic lifestyle. According to the official Japanese Animal Crossing: City Folk website, she is the sister of Chrissy.

Francine is a white rabbit with a blue polka dotted hood, blue tights and wears a dark polka shirt, blue eye liner, blue and white polka dotted eyeshadow, and pink blush. She also has a lemon-yellow fringe to match her soft cloudy appearance, and a green nose which stands out from her cloudy complexion. She is almost identical in appearance to Chrissy, who is pink instead of blue. Her initial item of clothing is the dark polka shirt, which matches her dark and rude personality. On rainy days, she carries a ribbon umbrella.

As a snooty villager, she will appear rude and arrogant towards the player, but will accept the player as a friend despite continuing her typical, sly comments. Her name doesn't refer to her character or name. However, her initial phrase "karat" is a homophone on the vegetable, carrot - a typical food item for rabbits and karat, carat in the UK, - a way to measure gold purity. As a snooty villager, gold would possibly refer to her stylish, materialistic lifestyle. Her attitude towards the player changes, as she begins to warm up to them, but she will still retain some arrogance and subtle rudeness. She may not get on with lazy villagers, due to their lifestyles - lazy villagers having a strong interest in food or relaxing of which will make her uncomfortable, angry, and upset when in conversation. She will upset peppy villagers, usually by gossiping about them, and finding small things to judge them on. She will get along well with normal, cranky, and other snooty villagers. If she gets sick, she will refer to you as her "only friend".

House

Francine's house contains items from the Blue Series. She has "I Love You" playing on her stereo. She also has a regal bed and regal chair.
