|Nomination = Hello everyone, I'm proposing a new role here at the wiki, Editor-in-Chief. This role would have the same abilities as a Bureaucrat, but would have the following unique responsibilities:
 
 
 
*Provides a vision for the future development and organization of the wiki.
 
*Organizes wiki projects, namespaces, and researches/makes recommendations regarding wiki extensions.
 
*Develops and maintains a Nookipedia Manual of Style.
 
*Encourages wiki-related discussion and settles disputes between editors.
 
 
 
I would also like to propose that this title only be held for one year, at which time it must be reapplied for. Alternatively it will expire after three months of inactivity, whichever comes first.
 
 
 
If promoted into this role my priorities would include:
 
*Providing an enhanced mobile experience.
 
*Establishing a Nookipedia database.
 
*Working with other wikis (e.g. Smashwiki) to increase interwiki content/linking.

I just wanted to clarify that this new proposed role does not require any new tools, but I thought it would be strange for a user responsible for 'Providing a vision for the future development and organization of the wiki' not to assume the highest non-directorial staff position. Another option would be to establish a new role on the wiki back-end that was only different in title but not in tools (essentially a 'copy' of another role, but with a different title). I thought this was a bit pointless which is why I didn't suggest it. Also I'm more interested in the creation of this new role with the associated responsibilities than the advancement to any other existing position, so if this isn't the appropriate avenue for this sort of proposition do let me know.
