Hazel (アイリス, Airisu, Iris) is an uchi, squirrel villager in the Animal Crossing series. She first appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Her name is most likely derived from the color of her fur and from hazelnuts.

Appearance

Hazel features a large unibrow, and she does not seem to mind it, her catchphrase being "uni-wow!". She also has short, boyish hair that can make her look male at a glance, but she has eyelashes and pink blush. She has black eyes. Unlike most squirrel villagers, she has buckteeth.

Personality

Hazel is the only squirrel villager to have an uchi personality. This means that she may be a tad snooty, but it is because she acts as a big sister to the player. This also means that she cares for the player; if the player gets stung by bees, she may give the player medicine. Her skill is making budgets and her future goal is to be a dentist. Her preferred style is the iconic style, and she likes listening to K.K. Disco. Her favorite coffee is House Blend with no milk and no sugar.

Hazel's house does not fit a particular theme, but she has two patchwork-related items. She has a Papa Bear, a blue bench, a classic wardrobe, a hamster cage, a radio, and a low screen. If she acquires a stereo, she will play K.K. Disco on it. Hazel thinks her house is modest at best, so if the player compliments it, she thinks the compliment is fake.
