Koalas are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series. Koalas are indigenous to Australia, lending a theme to some of the villagers' names. Koalas are one of two groups of marsupials that appear in the Animal Crossing series, the other being Kangaroos. There are only eight koala villagers so far.
