The pink kotatsu can be obtained from Tom Nook's store for 1,600 Bells.^{[nb 2]} It does not have any color for the purpose of fêng shui.

In Animal Crossing, the pink kotatsu is still leftover in the game data as a dummy item, unobtainable without gameplay modification or glitches. It has the unused name "pink kotatsu" and uses the dummy model, a white triangle with red Japanese text reading ダミー (damī, dummy). Its name was also translated to other languages in the European version of Animal Crossing, with the name "kotatsu rosa" in Spanish, "kotatsu rose" in French, "Heiztisch rosa" in German, and "kotatsu rosa" in Italian.
