The Novel Painting (ざんしんなめいが Zanshin na Meiga?) is a furniture item in Doubutsu no Mori and Dòngwù Sēnlín.
In Doubutsu no Mori, the Novel Painting can be obtained from Crazy Redd's Furniture Emporium for 1,960 Bells, a treasure hunt, or trees when the player has good luck. It does not have any color for the purpose of fêng shui.
In Doubutsu no Mori, this item appears in the homes of Butch, Egbert, Monique, and Nosegay.
In Dòngwù Sēnlín, this item appears in the homes of Butch, Egbert, Monique, and Nosegay.
For villagers who have this item placed on the floor in their house, there is a chance that the villager will gift it to the player.
While the item still appears in Doubutsu no Mori+, it is unobtainable through normal means; it could only be obtained if the player used the Data Moving Service to transfer save data from Doubutsu no Mori that contained the item, and it does not appear in the catalog. If the player tries to donate the Novel Painting to the museum in Doubutsu no Mori+, Blathers will treat it as a non-donatable item.
