The New Nintendo 3DS is a customizable furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Leaf introduced in the Welcome amiibo update. It can be placed on the surface of tables and other similar furniture that have surfaces for items. If this item is placed on the ground however, it is penalized by the Happy Home Academy by 1 point per each item. Interacting with this item allows the player to play Animal Crossing Puzzle League.
The New Nintendo 3DS can be obtained from redeeming fortune #57 to either Timmy or Tommy at their store after eating a fortune cookie. It can also be obtained from the RVs of Rover, Tom Nook, Blathers, Reese, Cyrus, Celeste, Resetti, Kapp'n, Digby, and Kicks for 3 MEOW Coupons. The item's system color and cover plate pattern can be customized by Cyrus for 1,728 Bells.
