Animal Crossing: New Horizons version 2.0 is an update scheduled to be released on November 5, 2021. The update was announced on September 23, 2021, with more details shown on October 15, 2021.[1]
New features
- The Roost is returning.
- Kapp'n is returning with mysterious island trip for
1,000 Nook Miles. - Harv's Island has been expanded, include the shopping area. The following areas are:
- Tortimer is also back in Harv's Island
- A new event called Group Stretching which has similarity with morning aerobics

- Sasha, a male rabbit
- Ione, a female squirrel
- Tiansheng, a male monkey
- Shino, a female goat
- Marlo, a male hamster
- Petri, a female mouse
- Cephalobot, a male octopus
- Quinn, a female eagle
Returning villagers
- Ace
- Rio
- Faith
- Zoe
- Azalea (previously only named in Japanese as Petunia)
- Chabwick (previously only named in Japanese as Nobuo)
- Frett (previously only named in Japanese as Champagne)
- Roswell (previously only named in Japanese as Pironkon)
