The fence is a customizable houseware furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 2.0 Free Update. As an outdoor item, it will provide an additional 0.5 development points towards the island rating.

The fence can be obtained from either Nook's Cranny for  2,700 Bells or the Paradise Planning office for  2,400 Poki. The item's sign pattern can be customized either by using 1 customization kit or by Cyrus at Harv's Island for  1,000 Bells. When customizing the item's sign pattern, the player can use one of their own custom designs. The item's color can only be customized by Cyrus.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Broffina, Butch, Deena, Hamlet, Jay, Leonardo, Moose, Peck, Pippy, Puck, Rasher, Renée, Roald, Rocco, Rudy, Scoot, Shep, and Tybalt.

In the designing process of Happy Home Paradise, Jay and Renée require this item to be placed in or outside their vacation home.

After unlocking this item in Happy Home Paradise, the item can be purchased from Wardell's catalog.
