The walking leaf[nb 1] is an uncommon insect introduced in Animal Crossing: City Folk. They are found from mid summer to early fall between 8 AM-5 PM, and can be found in all weather (rain and sun). They have a counterpart, the walking stick. They camouflage themselves as furniture leaves (though occasionally pulse) on the ground, but when approached they will flip over and reveal themselves. They are sold for 600 Bells.
