The greater blue skimmer (known as the common dragonfly in Animal Crossing and the white-tailed skimmer in Pocket Camp before version 5.3.2) is a bug in the Animal Crossing series. It first appeared in Doubutsu no Mori, and after Doubutsu no Mori e+ it remained absent from the series until Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. It can be found flying in the air between 8 AM and 5 PM from late spring to mid-summer.

Like all fish and insects in Animal Crossing, the common dragonfly can be donated to the museum by talking to Blathers, the curator. He will tell the player some information about it when they donate it.
