The dung beetle is a bug in the Animal Crossing series introduced in Doubutsu no Mori e+. Beginning in Animal Crossing: Wild World, they appear during winter, rolling snowballs. In Doubutsu no Mori e+, they instead appear from spring to fall and roll the soccer, basketball, or volleyball balls found around the player's town.
