The reception counter is a customizable houseware furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 2.0 Free Update. The item's top surface can be used to place smaller items, such as miscellaneous furniture.

The reception counter can be obtained from either Nook's Cranny for  5,500 Bells or the Paradise Planning office for  5,000 Poki. The item's paper under the counter pattern can be customized either by using 2 customization kits or by Cyrus at Harv's Island for  1,700 Bells. When customizing the item's paper under the counter pattern, the player can use one of their own custom designs. The item's color can only be customized by Cyrus.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Al, Chevre, Frank, Gala, Genji, June, Lionel, Margie, Peewee, Peggy, Pippy, Rosie, Sandy, Simon, Sparro, Tabby, and Whitney.

In the designing process of Happy Home Paradise, Gala and June require this item to be placed in or outside their vacation home. This item is also required as one of the tables for the dining hall at the café, as one of the counter for the waiting area at the hospital, as one of the tables for the dining hall at the restaurant, and as one of the teacher's desk for the classroom at the school.

After unlocking this item in Happy Home Paradise, the item can be purchased from Wardell's catalog.
