The migratory locust[nb 1] is a bug in the Animal Crossing series that has appeared in every game to date. It is known for its unique sound, which is best described as a stick rattling against a metal fence.
In the games that the migratory locust appears in, it is an uncommon bug that the player can encounter, and can be found on the ground, occasionally hopping. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it can be caught from late summer to the end of fall.
