Leap Day

Leap Day is a minor event in Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It occurs only once every four years, on February 29th. This is because an extra day is added to every fourth year, since the Earth takes slightly more than 365 days to orbit the Sun.
A note about the event is posted on the Bulletin Board. Isabelle will announce Leap Day when the player starts the game and villagers may also mention the event.
