Labor Day is an event in the Animal Crossing series. It occurs in Animal Crossing and in North American towns in Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The date of the event varies depending on the region; it occurs on the first Monday of September in international releases and on November 23 in Japan.

In Animal Crossing[edit]
In Animal Crossing, Labor Day occurs on November 23 in the original Japanese version, on the first Monday of September in the North American version, Australian version, and Doubutsu no Mori e+, and on May 1 in the European version. During the event, Tortimer will appear near the wishing well and will give the player a Shop Model if spoken to.
In City Folk[edit]
In North American towns in Animal Crossing: City Folk, Tortimer will appear outside town hall on Labor Day and will give the player a Picnic Basket if spoken to.
In New Leaf[edit]
In North American towns in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Isabelle will appear in the event plaza on Labor Day alongside a cardboard cutout and will give the player a Picnic Basket if spoken to.
